Hwy 75 construction from Lake Benton to Pipestone Creek complete
WILLMAR, Minn. – Motorists will no longer experience delays on Hwy 75 from Hwy 14 to Pipestone Creek in Pipestone County as resurfacing has wrapped up.
Construction on the project is complete, although crews will return in the spring to permanently install wet-reflective roadway striping when the weather warms back up. Wet-reflective pavement markings include glass beads and ceramic elements that reflect light back toward motorists, which better indicates the location of the marking.
“This innovative striping improves the visibility of pavement markings under less than ideal conditions,” said Project Manager Nick Klisch. “It also lasts longer than traditional striping because the markings are ground into the pavement where they are protected from snow plows and other traffic.”
Knife River Corp. was the contractor for the $1.3 million project.
