Detour removal on Hwy 212 delayed one week
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Hwy 212 detour near Dawson will remain for an additional week, as crews add centerline rumble stripes to the road surface. The road will open on Tuesday, Sept. 11, weather permitting.
The remaining Hwy 212 construction near Montevideo will be complete next week and the road will open by Friday, Sept. 14, weather permitting.
Duininck Inc. is the prime contractor for the projects, which began in May. Work included grading, paving the road, installing pedestrian accessible ramps and improving traffic signals.
The centerline rumble stripes were a late addition to the project and will enhance motorist safety. For more information on rumble stripes, visit www.mndot.gov/trafficeng/safety/rumble.
