Biweekly public meetings on Paynesville Bypass project set to begin April 19
WILLMAR, Minn. – The public is invited to attend biweekly informational meetings beginning Thursday, April 19, to hear updates on the Paynesville Bypass project. The meetings will be held at the Paynesville American Legion, 770 W. Hwy 23,
Paynesville, Minn., at 1 p.m.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and KGM Contractors Inc. will provide a progress report and plans for upcoming construction activities. They will also address questions or concerns about the project.
The 7.5-mile, four-lane divided bypass project is located north of New London from Kandiyohi County Road 6 to west of 263rd Avenue in Paynesville. Work includes grading, paving, constructing eight bridges and lighting.
The project will improve mobility and safety for motorists traveling along the Hwy 23 corridor and allows Hwy 23 to remain an important connection between Willmar and St. Cloud.
