Hwy 14 between Tyler and Florence in southwestern Minnesota is open to traffic
WILLMAR, Minn. —(7:00 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol have opened Hwy 14 between Tyler and Florence in southwestern Minnesota.
The highway had been closed since March 20 due to flooding caused by the spring melt.
Mn/DOT encourages motorists to slow down and drive with caution as some water may remain over the roadway.
Every flood is dangerous to motorists. If you must travel in the (SW, SE, NW, NE, central Minnesota) area, follow these safe driving practices (source: Federal Emergency Management Agency http://www.fema.gov/hazard/flood/fl_during.shtm).
