Traffic delays on Highway 55 in Paynesville begin March 14
WILLMAR, Minn. —(Motorists will encounter minor delays on Highway 55 between Stearns County Road 130 and North Grande Street in Paynesville beginning Monday, March 14, as earth moving equipment crosses Highway 55 to haul materials for the Highway 23 Paynesville bypass project.
Flaggers will direct Highway 55 traffic through the work zone for approximately two weeks.
The 7.5-mile, four-lane divided bypass project is located north of New London, Minn., from Kandiyohi County Road 6 to west of 263rd Avenue in Paynesville. The project includes grading, paving, construction of eight bridges and lighting.
The project will improve mobility and safety for motorists traveling along the Highway 23 corridor and allows Highway 23 to remain an important connection between Willmar and St. Cloud.
