Update: New detour on Highway 59 south of Clarkfield due to flooding
WILLMAR, Minn. – (7:30 p.m.) A new detour on Highway 59 south of Clarkfield is in effect due to flooding of Yellow Medicine County Road 10. The original detour was changed a 11 a.m. due to flooding of Yellow Medicine County Road 3 east.
Highway 59 traffic is diverted west on Highway 67, south on Yellow Medicine County Road 9, west on Yellow Medicine County Road 3 to St. Leo, south on Yellow Medicine County Road 11 to Lyon County Road 1 to Taunton, southeast to the junction of Highway 68 and Highway 59 in Marshall.
Flooding is difficult to predict and roads may be closed or restricted without warning. Motorists are advised to check road conditions in advance of travel.
