Bridge joint repair project on Highway 59 in Marshall begins Sept. 20
Northbound traffic will be diverted to the southbound lane
WILLMAR, Minn. —The northbound lane of Highway 59 at the Channel Parkway junction in Marshall will close Monday, Sept. 20 as crews begin a bridge joint and curb repair project. Traffic will be diverted to the southbound lane. The lane closure will remain in effect until approximately Sept. 27.
Signing will direct motorists through the work zone.
The completed project will help maintain the structural integrity of the bridge.
During construction and road maintenance work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges drivers to:
- Drive with caution, watch for signs and be alert for workers in the work zone.
- Never enter a road that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
- Minimize distractions.
- Don’t use cell phones while driving and remember text messaging while driving is illegal.
- Be patient.
