Temporary access closures on Highway 23 south of Marshall begin July 7
WILLMAR, Minn. — Motorists will encounter temporary access closures along Highway 23 south of Marshall from the junction of Lyon County Road 5 to ¾ miles east of Russell due to paving operations on the two-lane segment beginning July 7.
The temporary access closures are intermittent and will open and close frequently. The temporary access closures will remain in effect until Sept. 10.
The 12-mile resurfacing project from Russell to one-half mile north of Highway 19 in Marshall began May 3. The project will reduce maintenance costs, improve pavement strength and provide a safer, smoother ride for motorists.
The project is expected to be completed October 15, weather permitting.
