Update: Highway 59 project south of Clarkfield delayed
Detour route change begins July 20
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 59 shoulder widening and culvert lining project from south of Clarkfield to Yellow Medicine County Road 3 has been delayed until Tuesday, July 20. The project was scheduled to begin July 19.
Motorists will encounter a temporary detour route July 20, through July 22.
Temporary detour route:
Highway 59 traffic will be detoured west on Highway 67 at Clarkfield, south on Yellow Medicine County Road 9, south on Lyon County Road 17, east on Lyon County Road 10 to Highway 59. This temporary detour will remain inplace until approximately July 22.
Detour route beginning July 22
Highway 59 traffic at Clarkfield will be detoured west on Highway 67, west on Yellow Medicine County Road 9, east on Yellow Medicine County Road 3 to Highway 59. To view the detour map, log onto http://www.dot.state.mn.us/d8/.
The project is scheduled for completion on Sept. 3, 2010, weather permitting.
