Access closed on Highway 23 at Lyon County Road 5 in Marshall
WILLMAR, Minn. -Mn/DOT has temporarily closed the access at the intersection of Highway 23 and Lyon County Road 5 in Marshall.
The closure is necessary due to paving operations. Travelers can access Highway 23 via city streets south of the junction.
The intersection is expected to reopen June 28, weather permitting,
Motorists will encounter periodic access closures in Marshall until mid-August. The Highway 23 intersections with Highway 19, Highway 59 and Lyon County Road 7 will remain open throughout the project.
The 12-mile resurfacing project began on May 3 and extends from Russell to one-half mile north of Highway 19 in Marshall. The project will reduce maintenance costs and improve pavement strength.
The project is expected to be completed on October 15, weather permitting.
