Update: Highway 67 east in Granite Falls to open at approximately 2 p.m.
Detour will be lifted
WILLMAR, Minn.- (9:30 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol report that Highway 67 east of the junction with Highway 23 in Granite Falls will open to traffic at approximately 2 p.m.
Highway 67 was closed to traffic since March 24 due to flooding east of the junction of Highway 23 in Granite Falls.
Water has receded from Highway 67 and detour signing will be removed. Motorists are reminded that flooding is difficult to predict and roads may be closed or restricted without warning. Motorists are advised to check road conditions in advance of travel.
No other highways in southwest Minnesota are closed due to flooding.
