Highway 4 construction from Cosmos north to Highway 55 set for Sept. 14
WILLMAR, Minn. - Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures on Highway 4 from Cosmos north to Highway 55 as crews begin a resurfacing project on Monday, Sept. 14.
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. If motorists enter a roadway from an access road, they must wait for the pilot car and vehicles to pass before entering the lane and must travel in the same direction as the pilot car.
The resurfacing project includes a bituminous overlay from the north limits of Cosmos to south of Meeker County State Aid Road 23 and a bituminous mill and overlay from the east junction of Highway 12 in Grove City north to Highway 55 near Paynesville.
Knife River Corporation-North Central was awarded the contact with a bid of $2,041,565.
The project is scheduled for completion by end of September, weather permitting.
