Highway 4 sign replacement project begins July 27
Location:
Highway 4, from Highway 19 in Fairfax, north to junction with Highway 55 southeast of Paynesville.
Traffic impact:
Due to the narrow shoulders, the highway will be reduced to a single lane near sign replacement sites. Motorists will encounter stop and take turn stop signs or flaggers may direct motorists through the work zones.
Project information:
Crews will replace damaged and worn Mn/DOT signs. The state replaces signs on a 12-year rotation as required by the federal government. H&R Construction was awarded the $64,482 project.
Time frame:
The project is expected to be completed on Sept. 4, weather permitting.
