WILLMAR, Minn. – Work to salvage an historic bridge and construction of a new bridge and box culvert on Highway 24 north of Litchfield is scheduled to begin Monday, May 11.
Hihghway 24 will be detoured east on Highway 24, south on Meeker County Road 14, east on Meeker County Road 21 to Highway 15. The detour adds 5.5 miles of travel distance.
Robet R. Schroeder Construction Co. of Glenwood is the prime contractor for the $1,524,067 project.
The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October, weather permitting.
