Willmar, Minn. - As part of a district-wide safety project, Mn/DOT will install approximately three miles of cable median barrier along the southbound lane of Highway 71/23, from Kandiyohi County Road 90 in Willmar to the Highway 71/23 split north of Willmar. The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4, weather permitting.

Occasional southbound left-lane closures will create minor impacts for motorists during the project.

H & R Construction is the prime contractor for the $317,589 safety project. The project is scheduled to be completed in June.
