WILLMAR, Minn. - According to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Highway 12 between Willmar and Pennock is now open to traffic. Barricades were removed at noon today (June 27).

According to Jim Christensen, Mn/DOT project supervisor, motorists will need to use caution in the area, as crews will be completing turf establishment.

The highway had been closed since May 1. Improvements consisted of a bituminous mill and overlay and turn lane construction. The prime contactor for the $1.5 million project was Duininck Bros of Prinsburg, Minn.

Mn/DOT thanks businesses and motorists for their patience during the project.
