HIGHWAY 7 IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT SET TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK WEST OF CLARA CITY
WILLMAR, Minn.
- The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today that,
weather permitting, improvements to Highway 7 west of Clara City
will get underway next week. Traffic will be detoured during the
project. Barricades are expected to be in place on Tuesday (April
30).
Highway 7 motorists will be detoured to Highway 23 and 100th Avenue.
Highway 23 motorists will be detoured to Main Street in Clara City
and Highway 7. The detour adds approximately 1 mile.
According to Mn/DOT project supervisor Jim Christensen, the project
consists of a concrete overlay beginning just east of the Highway
7 and 23 junction to 100th Avenue west of Clara City. Weather permitting,
the project is expected to be complete mid-summer.
The prime contractor for the $1.4 million project is Duininck Bros.
of Prinsburg.
