Willmar,
Minn. - Motorists will encounter minor delays as crews begin an
overlay and aggregate shoulder project on Highway 40 west of Willmar
from the Kandiyohi/Chippewa county line to west junction Highway
29 beginning on May 17.
Weather permitting,
the project is expected to be complete in mid June, according to
Jim Christensen, project supervisor at the Minnesota Department
of Transportation.
Motorists are
reminded to slow down, stay alert and follow instructions from flaggers
in the work zone. Fines for speeding double in work zones.
The prime contractor
for the $900,000 improvement project is Central Specialties Inc.
of Alexandria, Minn.
