Willmar,
Minn. - Motorists will encounter minor delays as crews begin turn
lane construction on Highway 7 at County Road 33 near New Germany
and Country Road 10 near Mayer east of Hutchinson.
According to
Minnesota Department of Transportation officials, preliminary work
began off the highway at County Road 33 on Monday (May 7). Weather
permitting, Mn/DOT anticipates that minor delays will begin in mid-May
and the project is expected to be complete this summer.
Mn/DOT reminds
motorists to slow down, stay alert and follow instructions from
flaggers in the work zone. Fines for speeding double in work zones.
The prime contractor
for the $897,000 safety improvement project is Buffalo Bituminous
Inc. of Buffalo, Minn.
