Willmar,
Minn. - According to Jeff Butson, project supervisor at the Minnesota
Department of Transportation office in Hutchinson, a bituminous
mill and overlay project started on Friday, July 20, on Highway
22 from the south limits of Biscay to the south limits of Hutchinson.
On Wednesday,
July 25, a bituminous mill and overlay project will begin on Highway
7 in the city of Hutchinson (west end).
Motorists will
encounter minor delays. Flag personnel will route traffic through
the work zones. Motorists are advised to slow down for their safety
and the safety of our workers. Fines for speeding double in work
zones.
Weather permitting,
Mn/DOT anticipates that the Highway 22 project will be completed
in five days (July 25). The Highway 7 project will be completed
in approximately one day (July 26).
The prime contractor
for the $206,695 safety improvement projects is Duininck Bros. Inc.
of Prinsburg, Minn.
