HIGHWAY 59 IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT TO BEGIN
SOUTH OF CLARKFIELD
WILLMAR,
Minn. - Motorists will encounter minor delays as crews begin a bituminous
mill and overlay project on Highway 59 south of Clarkfield from
junction Highway 67 to County Road 3 beginning on or after Thursday
(June 14).
Weather permitting, work is anticipated to get underway Thursday
and the project is expected to be complete in approximately one
week, according to Delmar Koel, project supervisor at the Minnesota
Department of Transportation office in Marshall.
Motorists are
reminded to slow down, stay alert and follow instructions from flaggers
in the work zone. Fines for speeding double in work zones.
The prime contractor
for the $268,000 safety improvement project is Duininck Bros. Inc.
of Prinsburg, Minn.
