IMPROVEMENTS
TO HIGHWAYS 30 AND 267 TO BEGIN TUESDAY
Minor
Traffic Delays
Willmar,
Minn. – Improvements to Trunk Highway 30 between Lake Wilson and
Slayton and Highway 267 between Iona and junction Highway 30 will
begin on or after Tuesday (September 5), according to officials
at the Minnesota Department of Transportation office in Marshall.
Minor traffic delays are anticipated.
Plans
call for a mill and overlay in the cities of Slayton and Lake Wilson
and a bituminous overlay of the remainder. There will also be a
curb and gutter installation in Slayton.
Highway
267 between Iona and junction Highway 30 will receive a bituminous
overlay.
Motorists
are advised to slow down in the project areas, follow instructions
from flag personnel and to give construction crews plenty of room
to work.
Weather
permitting, Mn/DOT anticipates that the project will be completed
by the end of October. Duininck Bros., Prinsburg, Minn., is the
prime contractor for the $1,040,000 project.
