IMPROVEMENTS TO HIGHWAYS 30 AND 267 TO BEGIN TUESDAY

Minor Traffic Delays

Willmar, Minn. – Improvements to Trunk Highway 30 between Lake Wilson and Slayton and Highway 267 between Iona and junction Highway 30 will begin on or after Tuesday (September 5), according to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation office in Marshall. Minor traffic delays are anticipated.

Plans call for a mill and overlay in the cities of Slayton and Lake Wilson and a bituminous overlay of the remainder. There will also be a curb and gutter installation in Slayton.

Highway 267 between Iona and junction Highway 30 will receive a bituminous overlay.

Motorists are advised to slow down in the project areas, follow instructions from flag personnel and to give construction crews plenty of room to work.

Weather permitting, Mn/DOT anticipates that the project will be completed by the end of October. Duininck Bros., Prinsburg, Minn., is the prime contractor for the $1,040,000 project.

Mn/DOT encourages motorists to obtain information about work zones and detours in the following ways:
