HIGHWAY 12 IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF WILLMAR

BEGINS MONDAY

Willmar, Minn. B Construction on the Highway 12 downtown bypass in the city of Willmar will begin on Monday (April 17), according to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation office in Willmar.

Plans call for resurfacing the roadway between 7^th Street and Dolson Street. The city of Willmar will also be replacing utilities.

It will be necessary to detour Highway 12 traffic during the project. The detour route will be via Lakeland Drive, 19^th Avenue, County Road 15, County Road 47 and Trunk Highway 40 (see attached detour map). Local traffic to the downtown area will be maintained throughout the project.

Mn/DOT anticipates that construction will be completed by the end of June.

Duininck Bros., Prinsburg, Minn., is the prime contractor for the $418,000 project.
