Late-summer and fall of 2013

Detour route for motorists going westbound: County Hwy 16 to Main Street to 7th Street to Rice Street, and then to 14th Street. Detour map for fall (PDF, 2 MB)

A shorter alternate detour route with less turning movements for large vehicles is under evalutation by MnDOT and the city of Blue Earth. This alternative route uses 6th Street to avoid Main Street and leads to the Hwy 169 which will be completed by then. The route also minimizes impacts to downtown parking and reduces potential negative impacts to businesses.
