About the Hwy 14 Corridor project
Highway 14 was originally constructed as a two-lane highway. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was completed in June 1999 with a preferred alternative of a four-lane roadway with south bypasses of Janesville and Waseca. Read the Janesville bypass project summary (64 KB PDF) and the Clean Water Action Alliance letter with MnDOT response (96 KB PDF) regarding construction and measures to minimize harm to wetlands.
