Safety

Crash rate is 1.2 per million vehicle miles, which is slightly lower than the state average of 1.3 for this type of roadway (as per Traffic Needs Study, March 2001). Nicollet County completed official mapping of the right of way for this project in June 2002, which will prevent development on the land needed for the highway. An Environmental Assessment was completed in 2004 to investigate the potential for significant environmental impacts associated with this project.
