Project status

Phase 1 of construction is near completion and Phase 2 will begin in the spring of 2013. Traffic will remain two lanes, two-way until the project is complete at the end of the 2013 construction season. No detour is expected for Highway 14 traffic in 2013.

 

Project highlights

 

    Phase 1 Construction- 2012:

        • Construct embankment for bridge, ramps, and County Road 41
        • Construct ditches, ponds, drainage structures
        • Grade mainline Hwy 14
        • Pave eastbound Hwy 14 lanes
        • Temporary signing/striping for two way traffic on eastbound lanes
        • Grade, pave, and complete connections to County Road 6 and Pleasant View Drive

 

    Phase 2 Construction – 2013:

        • Pave westbound Hwy 14
        • Permanent signing/striping on Hwy 14
        • Construct County Road 41 bridge
        • Pave County Road 41 interchange ramps and loop
        • Construct roundabouts at ramp terminals
        • Pave County Road 41 connections to north and south
        • Final turf establishment
