Final work planned for Highway 169 in St. Peter Sept. 3
MANKATO, Minn. — The initial surfacing work on the northbound right lane of Highway 169 in St. Peter from Chestnut Street to Union Street has been completed and now a seal coat will be applied to both north and southbound lanes as early as Tuesday, September 3.
City side streets will be briefly closed off as the operation moves down the seven blocks of Highway 169.
The seal coat is a preventative maintenance measure that provides a protective layer, reducing deterioration due to sun and moisture. Drivers are urged to slow down and be alert for loose gravel and oil spraying in these areas.
