MANKATO, Minn. — Hwy 68 west of Blue Earth County Road 45 near Courtland (approximately 5 miles southeast of New Ulm) is closed due to a mudslide, leaving significant mud, fallen trees and debris on the roadway.

Motorists should seek alternate routes, as the road will remain closed until crews can clear the area.
Recent rainfall and high river water levels in the area can cause mudslides without warning. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is closely monitoring area roads.
