All lanes of I-90 near South Dakota border now open
MANKATO, Minn. — (2:15 p.m.) All lanes of Interstate 90 at Beaver Creek near South Dakota border are now open. The interstate experienced closures earlier today due to flooding.
No other state highways in southwestern Minnesota are currently impacted by flooding.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation continues to closely monitoring the flooding situation and will provide updates as information becomes available. However, motorists should be alert to rising waters throughout the day and be prepared to turn around if necessary.
MnDOT warns motorists that driving through water is dangerous. Vehicles can be swept away in only several inches of moving water. Motorists are encouraged to check 511mn.org for the latest road information.
