Hwy 91 Nobles County project open house set for March 27
Construction scheduled for 2019 and 2020
MANKATO, Minn. – An open house to gather input on the designs of Highway 91 in Nobles County has been set for Tuesday, March 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Argonne American Legion Post #32, 109 Maine Avenue, Adrian. The public is encouraged to review the draft plans and comment on the project that runs from the south Adrian city limits to the Nobles/Murray County line.
Construction is scheduled for 2019 and 2020. The work in 2019 includes rural box culvert construction and will result in detouring Highway 91 traffic. In 2020, the resurfacing will take place as well as sidewalk and driveway improvements in Adrian and additional lighting at rural intersections.
Highway 91 has not been under major construction since late 1990s, early 2000s. This project will result in a long-term improvement to the pavement, update access for pedestrians in Adrian and improve safety at rural intersections.
This project will be constructed together with a MnDOT District 8 Highway 91 resurfacing project from the Nobles/Murray County line to Russell.
