MnDOT update on flooded state highways in south central MN
Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Le Sueur opens
Mankato, Minn. – Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Le Sueur will open at 3 p.m. today (July 2), according to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Le Sueur has been closed due to flooding since June 21. MnDOT crews had to repair shoulders that had been washed out prior to opening.
Highways CLOSED include:
- Hwy 19 Henderson to Hwy 169 (closed June 19)
- Hwy 93 Henderson to Hwy 169 (closed June 19)
Highway 93 and Highway 19 from Henderson to Highway 169 remain closed until further notice. After the water recedes and experts complete their evaluations, MnDOT will be able to announce the work necessary to open the roads and the approximate length of closure.

When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
