Travel Advisory--Hwy 75 closes north of Luverne due to flooding
Other roadways with water running over; I-90 blocked by semi

 

MANKATO, Minn. – (3:30 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Hwy 75 north of Luverne in Rock County at 3:30 p.m. due to flooding/water over the road.

Hwy 23 near Jasper is reported to have water running over the road – use extreme caution.

A semi tipped on its side is blocking lanes on I-90 between Luverne and Magnolia.

Motorists area asked to prolong their travel until weather has cleared and find an alternate route.


Other Hwys impacted--Hwy 75 will remain closed until further notice.


When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
