Orange barrels on a highway

Section of Hwy 66 to remain closed until next week

Detour set up

MANKATO, Minn. – A section of Hwy 66 south of Mankato that closed last night will now remain closed until late next week (May 7-9), according to MnDOT officials.

Motorists are being detoured to Blue Earth County Roads 9, 33 and 90.  Hwy 66 is closed from County Road 9 to County Road 90.

Hwy 66 was closed after a culvert failed and resulted in a washout.  Crews are digging up the road today and plan to replace the culvert next week.
