Hwy 60 detour for work on Watonwan River Bridges begins June 2

MANKATO, Minn. –  Hwy 60 motorists need to expect a detour in Watonwan County as crews work to improve the condition of the bridge over the Watonwan River east of St. James beginning June 2.

The detour consists of Watonwan County Road 13 between St. James and Madelia.

An alternate detour for motorists from eastbound Hwy 60/Hwy 30 to southbound Hwy 15 or northbound Hwy 15 to westbound Hwy 60 consists of Watonwan County Roads 27, 14, 10 and Hwys 15 and 30.

The detours will be in place until the completion of the project in mid-July.  The project consists of new approaches and bridge work to extend the life of the bridges and provide smoother and safer travel for the public.
CS McCrossan Construction, Incorporated is the contractor on the $583,786 project.
