Allis joins MnDOT District 7 (Mankato/Windom) planning section

MANKATO, Minn. – Ronda Allis of Easton, recently joined the staff in the planning section at District 7 of the Minnesota Department of Transportation.  District 7 includes 13 counties in south central and southwestern Minnesota with offices in Mankato and Windom.

Allis recently held the position of Director of Community and Economic Development and Transportation Planning for Region Nine Development Commission in Mankato.  In her five years of service with Region 9, she worked closely with MnDOT District 7 on numerous transportation planning activities.  She assisted with the grant application that brought $9.8 million in flood mitigation funds from the Economic Development Agency.

At District 7, Allis will be working on access/development reviews, Area Transportation Partnership programming, and urban and rural safety and transportation planning.

Other experience Allis brings to the position includes her work as City Administrator for Wells and Winnebago.
Allis holds a bachelor of arts in Government from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph.  Married to Eric, they have three daughters and reside in rural Easton.
