Section of Hwy 60 and I-90 ramps in Worthington open for local access

Section of County Road 33 closes Aug. 19

MANKATO, Minn. –  A short section of Hwy 60 from the Interstate 90 to Armour Road (by Ron’s Repair and JBS) and the Interstate 90 eastbound ramps is expected to open to local traffic only Friday, Aug. 16, according to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Work has progressed to a point on the Hwy 60 project in Worthington to allow local traffic on the short segment of Hwy 60 that provides access to JBS and other businesses in the area, however, motorists are advised to use caution as crews will continue working in the area.

The existing detours will remain in effect for Hwy 59 and 60 thru traffic.

As work progresses, the closure of Nobles County Road 33 from west of Nobles County Road 5 to Oxford Street is needed beginning Monday, Aug. 19.  The County Road 33 closure will remain in place until project completion later this fall.
