Hwy 169 construction open house in Blue Earth set for June 4
Construction begins June 10; traffic detoured to county roads
MANKATO, Minn. – Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend an open house for the Hwy 169 reconstruction through Blue Earth from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at the Public Safety Center, 120 South Walnut.
Construction and detours are expected to begin June 10 and the public can attend the open house to have questions about the various impacts of the construction and detours answered by those who will be working on the project this summer. The Minnesota Department of Transportation, City of Blue Earth, Faribault County and the contractor will be present to meet with individuals one-on-one.
The first stage of construction includes a detour to Faribault County Roads 16, 11 and 44. For maps and more information visit www.dot.state.mn.us/d7/projects/169blueearth/.

- Attend weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. at the Public Safety Center beginning June (12 or 19)

The major reconstruction project, which is expected to be complete by late fall, was awarded to Ulland Brothers Incorporated for $12,815,869. The work includes resurfacing, four roundabouts, lighting, ADA improvements and utilities and will result in a smoother, safer and more accessible highway.
