New Hwy 14 four-lane landscaping begins

Interchanges from Janesville to Waseca to get plantings

MANKATO, Minn. –  Motorists are advised to be alert for workers along the new Hwy 14 four-lane from Janesville to Waseca as landscaping is set to begin as soon as weather allows.

The final landscaping for Hwy 14 will take place between April and July.  Staking and weed control are the first activities and then plants will be placed in the appropriate timeframe depending on the type of plant.

MnDOT’s landscaping plans focus on the interchange areas as a beautification treatment for entrances to cities of Janesville and Waseca.  The cost of the project is $148,861 and Erosion Control, Incorporated of Medford is the contractor.
