Fowlds selected Program Delivery Manager for MnDOT District 7 (Mankato/Windom)


MANKATO, Minn. – Chad Fowlds of Mankato, was recently selected to the position of Assistant District Engineer for District 7 Program Delivery of the Minnesota Department of Transportation.  District 7 includes 13 counties in south central and southwestern Minnesota with offices in Mankato and Windom.


Fowlds, whose appointment began in December, replaces Greg Ous, who was promoted to District Engineer in July.

Fowlds and his staff of approximately 100 are responsible for delivering an annual $66 million construction program on the over 1,300 miles of state and federal highways. Areas under Fowlds leadership include several engineering disciplines related to road design, bridge management, water resources, traffic management, construction materials, land management and construction/contract management.

Fowlds has been employed with MnDOT for 16 years.  He brings experience in bridge, foundations, design, planning and construction to his new position.  Fowlds served as the Acting ADE for Program Delivery in District 7 from 2009 to 2011.


Fowlds holds a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University.  Married to Janele, he has one daughter and one son and they reside in North Mankato.
