Open House for Hwy 169 reconstruction in Blue Earth scheduled Nov. 7
Construction set for 2013

 

MANKATO, Minn. – The public is encouraged to attend another open house on the reconstruction of Hwy 169 in Blue Earth slated for 2013.

 

The open house is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Public Safety Center, 120 South Walnut Street, Blue Earth.

 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the city of Blue Earth are working closely on this project and would like the opportunity to share the construction plans and roundabout information with residents and businesses.  Information from the July open house has been posted at www.dot.state.mn.us/d7/projects/169blueearth/   .

 

The $8.8 million project includes reconstructing and resurfacing Hwy 169 from 14th Street to Faribault County Road 6 and installing roundabouts at 7th Street, Leland Parkway (County Road 16) and Faribault County Road 44.

 

The project will result in improved intersection safety, upgraded utilities, a smoother driving surface and enhanced pedestrian accommodations.
