Hwy 109 opens to traffic Sept. 21
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists will once again be able to travel Hwy 109 from Winnebago to west of Easton by mid-day Friday, Sept. 21, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists will experience a smoother and safer ride. MnDOT plans to restore Hwy 109 from Delavan to Wells in 2014.
The construction project consisted of restoring or reclaiming the old pavement, placing new asphalt and making culvert improvements. Additional paving and tile work added additional time to the project.
Ulland Brothers of Albert Lea is the contractor on the $7,093,330 project.
