Progress on Hwy 60 in Worthington results in changes to traffic restrictions
Traffic moves from eastbound to westbound on Hwy 60; I-90 ramps open around Aug. 30
MANKATO, Minn. –Restricted Hwy 60 traffic in Worthington will be switched from the eastbound to the westbound lanes between Graham Tire and the Blue Line Truck Stop on or about Thursday, Aug. 30, thanks to progress on the Hwy 60 reconstruction project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The westbound Interstate 90 ramps that have been closed since early July also will open to traffic about Aug. 30.
MnDOT officials expect the traffic conditions north of County Road 33 to be in place until next spring when a detour will be required to complete the project in town. Work on Hwy 60 south of County Road 33 remains under construction with a detour to Nobles County Roads 4, 5 and 33 until late fall.
Motorists should drive with caution through the work zone and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices.
