DELAYED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO MATERIAL SHORTAGE:
Hwy 14/Hwy 169 interchange improvement starts Sept. 4
Cross traffic prohibited during construction; through lanes restricted
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and closures when crews begin constructing a truck acceleration lane on Hwy 169 at the Hwy 14 interchange on the north edge of Mankato beginning Sept. 4.
The closures include:
- Hwy 14 eastbound to Hwy 169 northbound
- Northbound Hwy 169 to westbound Hwy 14
- Hwy 169 inside lanes (one lane traffic each way)
During these closures, traffic will be signed to use the Hwy 14 interchange at Riverfront Drive in Mankato to circle back to either northbound Hwy 169 or westbound Hwy 14.
Central Specialties, Inc. of Alexandria is the contractor on the $387,033 project, which is designed to improve traffic movements and safety in the area of the interchange.
