MnDOT seeks public comments on final Highway 60 environmental document
Document covers environmental impacts from Windom to St. James
MANKATO, Minn. – People interested in the proposed improvements to Highway 60 in Cottonwood and Watonwan counties can review a copy of the Highway 60 – St. James to Windom Final Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Statement beginning Monday, Aug. 6. The document will be available for review at www.dot.state.mn.us/d7/projects/hwy60stjames and at the following locations:
- MnDOT/District 7 – Mankato Office, 2151 Bassett Drive, Mankato, Minn.
- MnDOT/District 7 – Windom Office, 180 South County Road 26, Windom, Minn.
- Windom Library, 904 Fourth Ave., Windom, Minn.
- Mountain Lake Library, 1054 Fourth Ave., Mountain Lake, Minn.
- St. James Library, 125 Fifth St. S, St. James, Minn.
- Watonwan County Library – Butterfield Branch, 111 Second St., Butterfield, Minn.
The proposed project includes construction of a four-lane highway section between St. James and Windom.
Comments on the FSFEIS document are being requested from individuals or agencies to which the proposed project may be of interest. The comment period will begin Aug. 6 and extend through Sept. 5. All comments should be directed to:
