Nicollet County Road 41 to close May 11 in North Mankato
Hwy 14 detour anticipated in June
MANKATO, Minn. – Nicollet County Road 41 will close at the intersection with Hwy 14 in North Mankato on Friday, May 11, as work progresses on the Hwy 14 construction project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Local traffic can use Pleasant View Drive in North Mankato to access County Road 41. A short bypass was recently completed to connect Pleasant View Drive and County Road 41 until the new interchange is built.
No Hwy 14 detour is anticipated until June. The Hwy 14 detour will include County Road 6, County Road 77 and County Road 13/Lookout Drive. The detour will be in place until late summer or fall.
The Hwy 14 project in North Mankato is being built in phases in two years. The 2012 construction project includes:
- Construct embankment for bridge and ramps at County Road 41 interchange
- Construct ditches, ponds and drainage structures
- Grade westbound Hwy 14
- Grade and pave eastbound Hwy 14 lanes
- Grade, pave and complete the roundabout at County Road 6, Pleasant View Drive and Country Road 41
