Hwy 169/60 resurfacing project impacts traffic beginning June 4
Motorists can expect lane restrictions and ramp closures
MANKATO, Minn. – A resurfacing project on Hwy 169/60 from the Minnesota River North Star Bridge in Mankato to Blue Earth County Road 115 near Welch’s Apple Orchard will result in lane restrictions beginning June 4 and eventual ramp closures at Riverfront Drive.
Motorists will be required to reduce their speeds and should expect delays as improvements are made to make the highway smoother and safer. Extra law enforcement will patrol the project area to ensure the safety of workers and motorists. Fines are doubled in work zones.
The project includes repair of the concrete, mill and overlay of the asphalt sections, accessibility improvements in the city of Mankato and revised signal system. Central Specialties of Alexandria is the contractor for the $5,443,653 project.
