Hwy 258 bridge replacement begins April 30
Traffic will use detour until early September
MANKATO, Minn. – Highway 258 motorists will use a detour beginning Monday, April 30, while crews replace the hi-truss bridge over the Little Cottonwood River between Highway 14 and Comfrey, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Traffic will detour on Brown County Road 24, Brown County Road 5 in Springfield and Highway 14 until early September, weather permitting.
The $1.5 million project will provide motorists with a new three-span concrete girder bridge and a southbound turn lane at 200th Street for trucks entering the elevator facility.
The contractor is Robert R. Schroeder Construction Company of Glenwood.
