Riverbank repairs to reduce lanes on Hwy 169 north of St. Peter
Motorists advised of additional truck traffic
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists should drive with caution on the northbound lanes of Hwy 169 north of Saint Peter while crews work to stop river erosion of the Hwy beginning Jan. 3.
The project, which includes adding 800 lineal feet of rock to the bank of the Minnesota River, will result in a daytime lane closure and additional trucks hauling on a section of Hwy 169 north of St. Peter. The project may take four to six weeks to complete.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has worked closely with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to develop the repair plans in preparation of future flooding.
