The Minnesota Department of Transportation is proposing capacity improvements along Hwy 14 in Brown and Nicollet counties including bypasses of Nicollet and Courtland. Construction is not currently funded so it’s uncertain when the work will occur. MnDOT District 7 is currently conducting a safety audit of Hwy 14 to determine if any immediate safety measures can be made and to help guide future construction decisions when funding is available.
MnDOT and the Federal Highway Administration completed their review and approval of the final EIS. The document describes the proposed project, potential environmental impacts and proposed mitigation. It also provides responses to comments in the draft EIS.
Written comments can be submitted before March 12 to Peter Harff, MnDOT project manager, 2151 Bassett Drive, Mankato, MN 56001, or email@example.com.
The document is available in alternative formats to individuals with disabilities by calling Bruce Lattu at 651-366-4718 or 1-800-657-3774; 711 or the Minnesota Relay Service at 1-800-627-3529; or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
